A Proper Mount, Not Just a Bracket on the Wall

Anyone can screw a bracket into a stud. The difference with a licensed electrician is what happens to the cables — we can legally relocate a power point behind the TV and run the power and AV leads inside the wall, so you get a clean finish with nothing hanging down to the skirting board.

We mount TVs of every size — including large-format units up to 100 inch and beyond — on plasterboard, brick veneer, and weatherboard homes across Lilydale, Mooroolbark, Croydon, Mount Evelyn, and the wider eastern suburbs.

  • Fixed, tilt, and full-motion bracket installation
  • In-wall cable concealment — no visible leads
  • Power point relocation behind the TV, done to code
  • Connection to existing antenna or data points
  • Correct fixings for plasterboard, brick, and weatherboard walls
  • Licensed and insured — REC 27450

What We Cover

Common TV wall mounting jobs we handle across eastern Melbourne.

Bracket Installation

Fixed, tilt, or full-motion brackets fitted securely to the correct wall type — we supply and fit, or install a bracket you've already bought.

Cable Concealment

Power and AV cables run inside the wall with a proper in-wall power kit or discreet cable channel — no gaffer tape, no cords down the skirting.

Power Point Relocation

Licensed relocation of a power point directly behind the TV, done to AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules. This is electrical work — not something a general handyman can legally do.

Antenna & Data Connection

Connect straight into your existing antenna or data point, or run a new one to the TV location if needed.

Wall Type Assessment

Plasterboard, brick veneer, or weatherboard — we check stud location and wall type before drilling, and use the correct fixings for the TV's weight.

Large-Format TVs

Experienced with large-format installs — including 85 inch and 100 inch units — where extra care and the right bracket rating matter.

What Does It Cost?

We charge a $115 call-out fee (ex GST) and $150/hr labour (ex GST). A bracket-only mount is usually quick; adding cable concealment or a power point relocation adds time — we'll give you a clear price before we start.

All prices are exclusive of GST. GST is added on the invoice.

TV Wall Mounting — Common Questions

Can you hide the cables so nothing is visible behind the TV?

Yes. As licensed electricians we can relocate a power point behind the TV and run an in-wall cable kit for the power and AV leads, so there's nothing hanging down the wall. A general TV mounting handyman can't legally move a power point — we can.

What wall types can you mount a TV on?

Plasterboard with timber or steel stud, brick veneer, and weatherboard. We check the wall type and locate solid fixing points before drilling, and use the correct bracket and fixings for the load.

Do I need an electrician for TV wall mounting or can I use a handyman?

You can use either for a basic bracket-only mount. But if you want the power point moved behind the TV or cabling run inside the wall, that's electrical work and legally needs a licensed electrician. We do the full job — bracket, cable concealment, and power point relocation — in one visit.

Can you connect the TV to my existing antenna or data point at the same time?

Yes. We can connect straight into your existing antenna or data point, or run a new one to the TV location if there isn't one there already.

Do you supply the TV bracket or do I need to buy one?

We can supply and fit a bracket to suit your TV size and wall type, or install a bracket you've already bought — just confirm the TV size and weight when you book so we bring the right fixings.

How long does a TV wall mount installation take?

A straightforward bracket-only mount is usually 1–2 hours. Adding cable concealment and a power point relocation typically takes 2–4 hours. Larger TVs (85 inch and up) can take longer given the extra care needed — we'll give you a realistic timeframe when we book the job.
